Noahlogy Inc. We are pleased to announce that we have completed a seed round of fundraising, raising a total of 150 million yen, with ANRI No. 6 Investment Limited Partnership as the lead investor and Boost Capital No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership as the following investor.

■ Background: The structural crisis facing Japan's core industry, "maritime affairs"

Despite being one of the world's leading maritime cluster nations, Japan is facing a serious structural crisis at the heart of its industry.

• Retirement of skilled designers and a shortage of young talent : The generation that supported Japan's post-war economic boom is now retiring en masse, and there is a shortage of time to pass on the experience and know-how of these skilled professionals.
• The sophistication of design requirements is increasing dramatically for next-generation fuel ships such as methanol, ammonia, and hydrogen, offshore wind power support vessels, autonomous ships, and warships.
• Productivity Limitations : Due to working hour constraints resulting from work style reforms and chronic labor shortages, the workplace is structurally overwhelmed.

As a result, Japan's shipbuilding and maritime industries are facing a significant opportunity cost: they are unable to meet the demand despite existing demand. This is not merely a problem for a single company, but a national-level social issue linked to energy security, economic security, local economies, and supply chains.

In response to this structural crisis, we aim to rebuild the maritime industry into an AI-native entity by fully utilizing generative AI and AI agent technologies, through an approach that "transforms veteran skills into AI agents."

■ Three services offered by Noahlogy

1. Maritime AI Agent Platform

By implementing the expertise of veterans in shipbuilding, marine equipment, and shipping (design, procurement, operation, etc.) as AI agents, we will simultaneously address the increasingly serious issues of "technology transfer" and "labor shortage." Going beyond simply replacing existing tasks, we will restructure business processes and create organizations where people can focus on value creation.

2. Maritime AI BPO / Roll-up M&A

We standardize and unify personalized business processes using AI, achieving dramatic cost reductions, synergy creation, and smooth business succession. We will serve as a safety net for companies struggling with a lack of successors, building a sustainable ecosystem for the maritime industry.

3. Maritime DX Support

Going beyond superficial proof-of-concept (PoC), we redefine optimal business processes based on the latest technologies, taking into account maritime-specific laws, regulations, and business practices. We provide comprehensive support from initial consultations to implementation, deployment assistance, and training, driving organizational transformation from both operational and management perspectives.

■ Future Outlook

With this funding, we will focus on strengthening the following three areas to accelerate the "AI-native transformation of the maritime industry."

Accelerating Product Development: Scaling Up the Maritime AI Agent Platform
We will deploy AI agents that inherit the tacit knowledge of veterans to various areas of maritime operations, including design, procurement, operation, and regulations checks. We aim to reduce design lead times by up to 1/10 and will conduct demonstrations with domestic shipyards and shipping companies.

Strengthening Recruitment of Domain Experts: Balancing "Fieldwork and Technology"
Individuals possessing both domain knowledge of the maritime industry and the ability to implement generative AI and AI agents are rare. We are actively recruiting veteran engineers in shipbuilding, marine engineering, and shipping, as well as AI engineers, to expand our team that works together to create "AI that truly works in the field."

Full-scale launch of our maritime AI BPO/M&A strategy: Building a sustainable industry ecosystem.
We will serve as a haven for maritime companies struggling with a lack of successors, and build an integrated platform that connects employment and technology to the future through AI-driven business standardization.

I don't come from a shipbuilding or maritime industry background. Nevertheless, we jumped into this industry because we strongly felt that we couldn't leave our children with a situation where a core industry that has supported Japan for so long is being lost amidst generational change and population decline.

In Japan, where world-class ships have been built, there is veteran skills and wisdom that are not written in textbooks. These are extremely valuable things that have been passed down not through blueprints, but through intuition and experience. However, these precious things are now being quietly lost.

At Noahlogy, we use generative AI and AI agents to scale the "experienced skills" of veterans into the future. Even with a declining human workforce, we aim to maintain, and even evolve, the quality and quantity of the industry. We will work together with those on the ground to create an AI-native maritime industry.

With the funds raised in this round and the support of our partners, we will accelerate product development and implementation in the field. We will continue to actively recruit like-minded individuals.
